Overview

PixelProbe is built with privacy as a core principle. We process all photos entirely in your browser using JavaScript - your photos never leave your device or touch our servers.

Data Collection

We do NOT collect, store, or transmit:

• Your photos or images
• Photo metadata or EXIF data
• GPS location data from your photos
• Personal information
• User accounts or login credentials

Browser Storage

We use browser storage (IndexedDB/localStorage) to store:

• User Preferences: Theme selection (light/dark mode), default settings
• Recent Photos Cache: Optional caching of last 10 analyzed photos for quick re-access (stored locally in your browser, can be cleared anytime)
• History: Shutter count tracking and camera settings analysis history (stored locally, never sent to servers)

All this data is stored locally in your browser and can be deleted at any time through your browser settings.

Analytics

We use Ahrefs Web Analytics for basic website traffic analysis (page views, referrers). This analytics tool is privacy-focused and does NOT:

• Use cookies
• Track you across websites
• Collect personal information
• Analyze photo metadata

Third-Party Services

PixelProbe uses the following third-party services:

• Ahrefs Web Analytics: Privacy-focused website analytics (no cookies, no personal data)
• OpenStreetMap: Map tiles for displaying photo locations (when you use the Location Finder tool)

How Photos Are Processed

All photo processing happens in your browser using open-source JavaScript libraries:

• exifr: Reading EXIF/IPTC/XMP metadata
• piexifjs: Removing metadata
• browser-image-compression: Optimizing image processing

Photos are loaded into browser memory, processed, and either displayed to you or made available for download. They are never uploaded to our servers.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect or store your data:

• There's no data to request or delete on our servers
• You can clear browser storage at any time through browser settings
• You have complete control over your photos and data
