By accessing and using PixelProbe, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our service.

Service Description

PixelProbe is a free, browser-based tool for viewing, analyzing, and removing metadata from photos. All processing happens locally in your browser - we do not store, transmit, or access your photos or their metadata.

Use of Service

You may use PixelProbe for:

• Personal, non-commercial use
• Commercial use, including processing client photos
• Educational purposes

You may NOT use PixelProbe for:

• Any illegal activities
• Processing photos you do not have rights to modify
• Attempting to reverse-engineer, hack, or compromise the service
• Automated scraping or excessive use that impacts service availability

No Warranty

PixelProbe is provided "as-is" without any warranties, express or implied. We do not guarantee:

• That all metadata will be successfully removed
• That the service will be available 100% of the time
• That the service is free from errors or bugs
• That results are completely accurate

Important: While we strive to remove all metadata, we recommend verifying with additional tools for sensitive use cases. Always keep backups of original photos.

Limitation of Liability

PixelProbe and its operators shall not be liable for any damages arising from:

• Use or inability to use the service
• Loss of data or photos
• Privacy breaches due to incomplete metadata removal
• Any errors or inaccuracies in the service

You use this service at your own risk. We are not responsible for any consequences resulting from your use of PixelProbe.

Privacy and Data Processing

By using PixelProbe, you acknowledge that:

• All photo processing happens in your browser
• Your photos are never uploaded to our servers
• We do not have access to your photos or their metadata
• You are responsible for backing up your photos before processing

Intellectual Property

The PixelProbe website design, logo, and content are protected by copyright. However:

• You retain all rights to your photos
• We claim no ownership of photos you process
• We use open-source libraries (exifr, piexifjs, etc.) under their respective licenses

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Third-Party Services

PixelProbe uses:

• Ahrefs Web Analytics: For privacy-focused website analytics
• OpenStreetMap: For displaying map tiles in the Location Finder tool

Use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service.

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable international laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through good faith negotiation or binding arbitration.
